The automatic prescription discount program provides discounts on medications outside a member’s pharmacy benefit through a seamless and automated process that lets members, and their dependents, pay the lowest price possible for the medications they may need.
The automatic prescription discount program:
- is a value-add program for members with no costs or enrollment required.
- enables members to save on their out-of-pocket costs for their medications not covered under their pharmacy benefits.
- minimizes member disruption using a seamless process at the point of sale while ensuring the medication goes through health and safety checks.
This program applies to all commercial and exchange members. There is no action the broker, employer group or member need to take; the available discounts are automatically applied at the pharmacy.
To ensure member convenience by automatically applying available discounts at the pharmacy, this program replaces our InsideRx program.
