PPE Notification to Members

The New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) is requiring us to notify members that our participating providers cannot bill their patients for the costs related to their purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE). Providers may only collect any applicable cost-sharing (deductible, copay or coinsurance) amounts for covered services. They cannot balance bill our members for any additional expenses. The link below will take you to a sample of the letter members will receive over the course of the next month.
